JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Primary Purpose:
Perform management and financial reporting responsibilities, including preparing accurate and timely reports, variances against budget, as well as participating in the preparation of DPSA budget and forecasts and maintaining the TM 1 web management reporting and budgeting system.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the TM1 application with technical and functional level Proficiency.
• Analyze, design and develop dimension modelling using TM1 Architect and Perspective.
• Managing the security aspects of TM1 users and updating the authorization based on requirements.
• Participate in the budgeting process, by preparing budget input and budget backup templates, in addition to training the budget coordinators on Inputting the data into the budget and reporting system and helping in prepare the budget book after ensuring data accuracy in the system.
• Ensure budget changes during various department reviews are properly captured and the proper web display of each department's budget.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly Operating expenditure forecasts with coordination of Operations cost engineers and explanation of forecast versus budget for submission to management and shareholders.
• Prepare monthly cost reports for management by extracting data from the ERP and using ETL tools to load the data in the multi-dimensional reporting system.
• Prepare reconciliation of the ERP and the reporting system, and the analysis of costs reporting variances to the budget and updating various monthly detail reports for all the departments in the reporting system.
• Analyze time sheet reports on a monthly follow up with employees and their supervisors, and allocate cost between DPSA and non-DPSA based on time sheets.
• Assist in the preparation of Authorization for Expenditure for every project undertaken by Dolphin Energy, based on cost estimates received from the relevant Department
• Generate adhoc reports that involve financial analysis, as and when directed.
• Support the General Ledger accounting team and providing the operations value of work done on a monthly basis along with detailed analysis, comments and back-ups, ensure that proper accruals are done timely, and follow-up on clearance of old accruals with operation's cost engineers.
• Work with Operation users in ensuring that there are sufficient support for Goods Receipts (GR) and Service Entry Sheets (SES) entered in SAP
• Check and monitor inventory accounts in SAP including stock receipts, issues and discrepancies. Initiates inventory provisions for monthly & annual physical inventories, Monitor operations year Spares, Insurance Spares, and reconcile the inventory reports. Monitor and provide reports of actual consumption of bulk chemicals.
• Ensure vendors invoices are checked for compliance with applicable agreement/contract(s), WSOs & 1 ) and user's certification is verified before forwarding the invoices to Finance for payment
• Follow-up within Operations to ensure that GR and SES are done expeditiously in order to allow timely payment of invoices
• Ensure effective administration of petty cash for Operations.
• Monitors disbursements, replenishments and transactions in line with petty cash procedures
• Ensure that commitments are in SAP immediately upon finalization of contracts
• Perform other similar or related duties as and when assigned by the Manager Budget & Reporting.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Educational Requirements / Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
• Professional certification such as CPA and CA preferred.

Minimum Experience:
• 5 years relevant experience in budgeting, Report & Financial analysis using SAP & TM1 applications.

Skills and Competencies:
• IBM Cognos TM1 Technical and Functional Proficiency
• Advanced Microsoft Excel application proficiency(Power Query, Power Pivot & Power BI)
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
• SAP - FI/CO Exposure.
• IT/PC literate and exposure to OLAP tools helpful.
