JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Our client has an exciting opportunity in Qatar for an experienced CFO to lead, oversee and plan the financial strategy for our client which is a newly established parent company of an existing family business which has been operations for many decades.

The incumbent will be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from day to day transactional accounting to broad investment and banking operations. You will have responsibility for all financial operations and will take ownership of delivering strong, timely and accurate management and financial reporting as well as leading the annual budgeting process from preparation of the operating budget and monitoring financial performance against budget. Working alongside other C Level executives you will also be responsible for driving the company’s short and long term financial and capital planning, investment analysis and credit management, and reporting policies and practices, whilst adhering to and implementing international best practice and standards.

REQUIREMENTS

About you
The successful candidate should hold a bachelors in finance/accounting and will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with a track record operating to best practices and accounting standards. You should demonstrate excellent leadership, compliance and project management skills, combined with an ability to present and influence executive management and board members. You should also have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a senior role and experience in developing and/or transforming a finance department through the introduction of new processes, systems and methodologies. Arabic speaker is essential.
