Duties & responsibilities

• Teach didactic lectures, clinical courses, and labs as needed.
• Provide clinical supervision.
• Assess student assignments and grade student performance.
• Mentor and advise students.
• Develop curriculum and programs.
• Participate in faculty governance including serving on departmental, college, and/or university committees.
• Maintain an ongoing record of scholarly productivity including publications in internationally recognized journals.
• Foster and participate in collaborative, interdisciplinary research teams in the College, QU Health Sector and across the University.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in nursing from a reputable university.
• Specialty certification is preferred.
• Active registered nurse license from home country or country of residency.
• Eligibility for an educator license from Qatar's Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), to be obtained within six months of hiring.
• A minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a registered nurse.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience teaching in an undergraduate nursing program.
• Evidence of clinical experience and/or teaching experience in the area of specialty.
• Experience with competency-based curriculum is preferred.
• Experience with next generation NCLEX-RN exam is preferred.
• Evidence of research productivity in the area of specialization is preferred.
