JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Louis Berger is an internationally recognized consulting firm with a proven track record in providing superior engineering, program and construction management services in support of rail, infrastructure and mixed use improvement programs across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. Louis Bergers expertise encompasses all phases of engineering from the initial planning stage through to final design, construction and commissioning. The major components of these programs include rail, hospitals, schools, water treatment, and related infrastructure, along with safety, security, and environmental and sustainability services. Due to the increasing demand for leading talent in the MENA region, we currently have an opening for a Commercial Manager.
The Commercial Manager will provide oversight on all commercial matters relating to the design, construction and supply contracts, managing the procurement and budget control functions. The individual should be experienced in procurement under different forms of contract for major civil infrastructure and rail transit project, and be able to implement effective contract administration procedures and develop claims avoidance and mitigation strategies, as well as a sound understanding of insurances and bounds.
REQUIREMENTS
- Sound knowledge of experience of project contract management, monitoring and supervision required.
- Customer-focused with ability to meet customer demand for sector knowledge and expertise
- Experience within marketing and tendering activities
- Motivator and leader with strong sense of responsibility required
- Ability to communicate effectively with Clients and other project team members
- Good Team worker with the ability to use own initiative when required
- Build successful working relationships with internal departments
- Candidates should hold relevant Bachelor's Degree and must have minimum 15 years experience to project and trading contracts in the consulting industry. Middle East experience will be preferred.
