Qualifications:

Bacheloru2019s degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

Experience:

Minimum 15 years of experience in design, construction, commissioning, and start-up of major onshore hydrocarbon processing facilities.
At least 8 years in a commissioning lead or coordinator role with major project management consultancies or international EPIC contractors.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate all commissioning activities for assigned projects.

Develop and implement the project commissioning strategy in alignment with contract requirements and client expectations.

Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, SIMOP and other safety reviews during the design phase.

Review and approve commissioning and performance test procedures for all systems and subsystems.

Organize and manage the commissioning team, including manpower and equipment planning.

Oversee the execution of commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and safety standards.

Monitor and report progress on mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.

Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders for system handovers and project close-out.

Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems, safety regulations, and corporate procedures.

Facilitate on-the-job training (OJT) for Qatari engineers and end-user personnel.

Additional requirements:

Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Familiarity with international commissioning standards and best practices.
