Qualifications:

Bacheloru2019s degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

Experience:

Minimum 15 years of experience in design, construction, commissioning, and start-up of major onshore hydrocarbon processing facilities.
At least 8 years in a commissioning lead or coordinator role with major project management consultancies or international EPIC contractors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all commissioning activities for assigned projects.
  • Develop and implement the project commissioning strategy in alignment with contract requirements and client expectations.
  • Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, SIMOP and other safety reviews during the design phase.
  • Review and approve commissioning and performance test procedures for all systems and subsystems.
  • Organize and manage the commissioning team, including manpower and equipment planning.
  • Oversee the execution of commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and safety standards.
  • Monitor and report progress on mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders for system handovers and project close-out.
  • Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems, safety regulations, and corporate procedures.
  • Facilitate on-the-job training (OJT) for Qatari engineers and end-user personnel.
