JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Construction Manager (Highways) - Qatar
Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking a Construction Manager from a main contractor background to be involved in the on-site management of a significant highway construction project in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Managing all site-based aspects of the highway project
• Overseeing site activities, ensuring all works are carried out safely, kept on schedule and to budget
• Producing method statements and risk assessments for senior management
• Organising equipment and materials, making sure all vehicles are well-maintained
• Keeping up to date with correspondence and record keeping in accordance with the company’s policies
REQUIREMENTS
• 15 years’ experience of hands-on management of major highway or road construction projects
• A history of only working for main contractors
• At least a Bachelor’s degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a similar subject
• Must have a background of working in the Middle East
• Fluent in English, with any Arabic language skills a distinct advantage
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
