JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client is a leading contractor looking for an MEP Design Manager to join their well established team.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for to develop the MEP drawings log to suite the contractual and project requirement.
- Responsible for fixing the time limit for preparation of MEP shop drawings to suite the project requirement.
- Responsible for requisition manpower requirement (Sr. Engi/ Engr/ Draught.) required for the project to complete the engineering shop drawings within allocated required project time period.
- Responsible for managing projects and oversee to resolve design issues and design shop drawing works.
- Responsible for timely clearance of all invoices raised by outsources vendors.
- Allocation of engineering verification calculation works – Electrical / Mechanical to the design engineers according to project requirement and ensuring timely submission.
- Review all the RFIs raised by Design engineers, to suit the project requirement and submission to consultant.
- Review the design impacts developed by design engineers for accurate result to enable to claim variation for the time and cost implication for the changes and forwarding to QS department.
- Responsible for providing training to new entrants in the latest software and watch their performance.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will be degree educated, Bachelor in Engineering – Electrical/Mechanical and have a minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role. You must have the ability to lead a team and offer guidance where required.
