JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Job Description
We are looking for a French-as-a Second-Language teacher for a new, IB elementary school. This person would introduce our students to the French language and francophone cultures of the world. This is a K-5 position. We need someone with native or near native French language skills who is creative, collaborative and good with children.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills
• Current and appropriate certification.
• BA or BS degree.
• Major in elementary education, second-language acquisition, French or francophone studies or the equivalent.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• IB PYP experience preferred.
• Fluent English is required, but bilingualism considered an asset.
• For languages teachers other than English, fluency in the relevant language is required and English is an asset.
