JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

• The Employee Relations Officer will ensure all HR transactional services are available to UDC and subsidiaries’ employees and internal stakeholders in an efficient and effective manner.
• Participates in various information-dissemination among employees and committees.
• Organizes social activities pertaining to employee development, milestones and satisfaction.
• Performs employee satisfaction surveys independently or through an external consultant.
• Undertakes employees grooming checks and takes the necessary actions to promote the same.
• Counsels in job-related issues and personal issues if and when required and document the issue to Head of Personnel & Personnel Manager if required
• Maintains effective employee communication through handbook, notice boards, newsletters, posters and employee meetings.
• Champion the HR policies and processes for correct and accurate implementation within their respective areas.
• Create periodic reports as requested by management on all matters related to employee relations.
• Maintains a Program of Activities for the company and propose events e.g. sporting events and gatherings.
• Issues every month a HC Newsletter.
• Establishes a Discount Card for membership to enable employees to obtain discounts in local services and facilities within the community.
• Maintains suggestion box or email and see to it that issues raised therein are discussed and attended to.
• Implements policies and procedures for grievance, disciplinary, separation and exit formalities.
• Conducts investigations if needed related to personnel issues.
• Designs and implements approved employee welfare programs for the employees.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources or related field
• 3 to 5 year experience as Senior HR Generalist/Officer in a reputable company.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Experience in working on HR ERP solutions
• Knowledge of Qatar Labour Law.
• Good inter-personal skills and communication skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be proactive; should have the skills to initiate one’s work without being directed.
• Should be self-motivated and determined.
• Reliable, trustworthy and abide by the company’s terms and conditions.
• Must possess good organizational skills.
• Presentation skills.
• Any combination equivalent to experience that provides the required skills and knowledge is qualifying in a similar environment.
