We are currently looking for a Environmental and Sustainability Manager (ESM) for our Doha Metro project who will be responsible and directly accountable for implementing all environmental and sustainable construction principles and sustainable design requirements across the project. The main responsibility is to ensure compliance with the Employer’s Requirements, whilst ensuring GSAS 4 Stars is achieved and Environmental requirements are met.

The ESM manages the GSAS Design and implementation and certification process as well as the Environmental requirements such as environmental permits, etc. The ESM will be supported by environmental and sustainability engineer(s). This role will appeal to an ESM who is looking to work closely with Design and Construction Team to help develop the sustainable design of Doha Metro Systems including Depot, Stabling Yards, etc. The role will require interfacing between the MEP design team, architects, construction, procurement, sub-consultants, client, GORD and Ministry of Municipalities and Environment (MME). The primarily focus of the role will be in the disciplines of energy efficient design, sustainable materials (specifications and procurement), and the implementation and compilation of site based drawings and plans and an environmentally friendly construction practice. The individual will be required work closely with other disciplines and liaise with other sectors, offices and stakeholders to ensure a high quality, consistent approach to technical outputs and client management.
