Job Role: Facilities Manager
Location: Doha, Qatar
Guildhall, an executive search firm, is currently seeking a highly experienced Facilities Manager to join our client's team in the Facilities Management industry. As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all building-related activities and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of facilities. Your role will involve optimising space and equipment utilisation, reducing operating costs, and maintaining a safe and well-functioning environment for employees.
• Develop and execute proactive maintenance plans to ensure the proper functioning of basic facilities.
• Coordinate and manage installations, refurbishments, and repairs of telecommunications, heating, electricity, and other systems.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are well-maintained and meet health and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of building structures to identify and address repair or renovation needs.
• Review utilities consumption and implement measures to minimize costs.
• Supervise facility staff, including custodians, technicians, and groundskeepers, as well as external contractors.
• Manage service contracts and insurance plans, ensuring compliance and value for money.
• Control activities such as parking space allocation, waste disposal, and building security.
• Maintain accurate financial and non-financial records related to facilities management.
• Perform analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues and mitigate their impact on operations.
• Plan and optimize space allocation and resource utilization for new buildings or re-organizing existing premises.
• Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including delegating or completing maintenance orders.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, with a focus on Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• Hold Engineering Certification (MMUP / UPDA).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar Facilities Manager role.
• Proven track record in the Facilities Management industry.
• Strong knowledge of technical and engineering operations, as well as best practices in facilities management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities, with the capability to manage a diverse team.
