JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor Degree in Safety Engineering or Bachelor Degree in any field + Diploma in Safety Engineering
• Professional HSE qualification (NEBOSH IGC or Diploma)
• IRCA Lead Auditor
• 15 years’ of professional experience in the civil construction industry
• 10 years’ of experience in the construction of roads, highways and bridges
• 5 years’ experience in the similar role in Qatar or any of the GCC countries
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• Experience in QR 500+ million highway projects
• Process and technical knowledge of various construction activities associated with roads, highways, tunnels, underpasses, pipe lines and underground utilities

Preferred:
• Membership in professional bodies
• Professional HSE qualification (IOSH, OSHA)
• Management certifications
• Relevant HSE training attendance
• Proficiency in the languages spoken by more than 10% of the total work force
• Process and technical knowledge of various construction activities associated with roads, highways, tunnels, underpasses, pipe lines and underground utilities
• Awareness in Qatar Laws and QCS 2010 Specifications
• Awareness in Work Zone Traffic Management Guide
• Certified First Aider
