JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Linum Consult’s client is a major contractor operating internationally and in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking an HSE Manager to join their team in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leading the development, review, implementation, and overall governance of the HSE Management System, including policies, procedures, training and audits
• Establishing and implementing an effective management system to ensure all services provided are performed according to the HSE governance and international standards, and monitor compliance
• Leading the investigations of accidents and incidents to include immediate, underlying and root causes accompanied by an appropriate remedial action plan
• Developing and delivering health, safety, environment, and wellbeing strategies for the company
• Managing and improving the HSE Management System in accordance with ISO 45001 and 14001
• Conducting risk assessments and reviewing the prepared risk assessments
Requirements:
PROFILE• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or Safety Management, with IEMA and NEBOSH certifications
• 10 years’ experience in the planning and management of HSE systems and activities within the railway sector
• Active member of IOSH or IIRSM
• Certified in ISO 45001, 14001, and/or 9001
• Very strong technical knowledge of international standards for HSE
• Excellent communication and management skills
