JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking an HSSE Head to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implementing strategies on security and safety management, crime prevention, and investigations
• Formulating and continuously reviewing policies, processes and procedures on security and HSE
• Reviewing safety method statements, initial Environmental Impact Assessments, environmental audits, training manuals and the organisation’s policies and procedures
• Managing all aspects of physical and personnel security for company facilities and staff
• Overseeing activities related to security management such as fire and security drills, alarm response tests, security surveys and internal security audits
• Investigating, following up and resolving security issues/cases and Environment Health & Safety (HSE) incidences affecting the company in liaison with national law enforcement agencies
• Ensuring legal compliance with all applicable national and international security, safety, health and environmental, laws and regulations

REQUIREMENTS

PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree qualification in Applied Science, such as Security Management, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety, or similar subject
• At least 8 years’ experience in occupational health, safety, environmental, and fire & security management
• Strong leadership skills in the management of people, operations, and financial resources
• Disaster preparedness and management skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English
