JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

A leading provider of technology solutions and services is looking for an Investment Analyst to join their team. This firm has been working closely with a variety of clients to help them realize and achieve their strategic objectives from an IT standpoint, enhance efficiency, and cut costs. Roles & Responsibilities:

Investment Management
• Responsible to handle Organization’s investments in portfolios of securities in accordance with the investment objectives and parameters defined on behalf of company. The concerned will be responsible for all activities associated with company the management of portfolios, from buying and selling securities on a day-to-day basis to portfolio monitoring, settlement of transactions, performance measurement, and regulatory and client reporting
• Assist with capital markets and fund raising activities including drafting marketing materials, financial modeling, and document mark-ups
• Assist in efforts to execute strategic transactions, including acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and minority investments
• Deal execution, and on-going portfolio management
• Engages in regular research and reading to stay apprised about Global economy, global financial markets, and general current events
• Maintains current knowledge about financial products available to corporate and individual clients, including bonds, stocks, investments, and trusts
• Presents investment opportunities and related analysis while pitching proposed course of action in meetings with clients

Research & Analysis
• Analyze investment and acquisition opportunities and identify key drivers and commercial assumptions
• Analyzing operational forecasts and budgets for active and potential investments
• Tracking industry statistics and maintaining quarterly and semi-annual internal databases
• Assisting in due diligence for potential new investments, including market research and analysis of industry trends, financial modeling, and valuation
• Assist in managing 3rd party diligence providers such as accountants and attorneys, as well as manage relationships with debt providers and private equity funds

Financial Modeling
• Developing detailed financial models for financings and liquidity events.
• Build detailed financial projections and models of potential transactions using discounted cash flow analysis, discounted equity analysis, comparable analysis, pro-forma impact modeling and other financial tools
• Support the specification / design of models and analysis tools
• Develop models (incl. integrated P&L, Cash flow and Balance sheet models) from scratch.
• Carry out financial analysis of the outputs of models.
• Carry out testing of models as per quality control procedures.
• Review models and feedback findings to clients using proprietary software.
• Review and comment on revised models received from clients to verify whether review comments have been acted upon.
• Document the operation of models and the findings from our work.
• Document issues in a business model for inclusion in review reports and liaise with the project manager to fully explain the points raised.
• Design and execute commercial analysis e.g. market sizing, market driver analysis, competitive benchmarking etc.
• Develop business cases and business plans underpinned by robust financial analysis in support of strategic initiatives

Documentation for Board and Key Stakeholders
• Developing presentation materials for Board of Directors, CXOs, relevant stakeholders and portfolio companies
• Assist in writing investment memoranda to support company valuation and investment thesis and to present investment opportunities to investment committee for review

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of “8-10” years of experience in the undertaking above listed responsibilities.
• Experience in Technology sector is a plus
• 1 - 3 years of experience from a top tier bulge bracket or boutique investment bank, a leading venture capital or private equity firm, or a large leading technology company
• Familiarity with a transaction-oriented environment, via some experience in investments, M&A, venture capital, equity research, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in capital or fund raising, including project and acquisition finance, is required
• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of company capital and operating structures.
• Working knowledge of P&L statements, balance sheets
• Strong communication skills to work with senior executives across various business units and global theaters
• Structured thinker with analytical and financial skills to work on complex financial transactions with minimal supervision
• Adept at analyzing competitive landscapes while providing synthesized analysis, drawing conclusions, and concisely communicating findings
• Collaborative and proactive approach with the confidence and capability to act autonomously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong background in finance, with solid grounding in financial theory and valuation, accounting, financial statement analysis, and business strategy
• Financial modeling and Excel skills should be well developed
