JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are urgently seeking an IT Operations & Infrastructure Manager to join their team in Doha.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing the company’s end-to-end IT infrastructure and operations environment, ensuring high availability, resilience, and security across all sites
• Overseeing servers, data centres, networks, connectivity, cloud environments, CCTV, Wi-Fi, and all IT assets
• Leading IT infrastructure, service desk, and support teams, and managing vendors, service providers, contracts, and RFP processes.
• Overseeing NOC and SOC operations, vendor SLA governance, infrastructure contract renewals, and budget planning, ensuring operational excellence and business continuity
• Leading, managing, and developing multi-disciplinary teams including infrastructure engineers, network/system administrators, NOC/SOC staff, IT service desk analysts, and field technicians
• Overseeing the design, implementation, monitoring, and optimisation of IT infrastructure
• Ensuring resilience, scalability, and high availability of data centres, cloud environments, and backup/disaster recovery systems
• Managing the IT Service Desk and support functions to ensure effective L1-L3 support coverage
Requirements:
PROFILE• Bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar subject, ideally with a master’s degree
• 10 years’ minimum experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial position
• Demonstrable experience managing infrastructure contracts, renewals, RFPs, and vendor governance
• Strong track record managing NOC/SOC operations and IT operations in large, multi-site enterprises
• Experienced in leading IT service desks and support functions
• Certified and/or training in: ITIL Foundation/Intermediate, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/Architect, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and CISM, CISSP, or equivalent (advantage)
• Strong leadership, people management, and organisational skills
• Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (networking, servers, cloud, data centres, CCTV, Wi-Fi, etc.)
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
