Lead Aviation Health Programs - Qatar Airways - Doha

In this role you will be sitting within the Qatar Airways Medical Centre, supporting the Aero Medical team. Your accountabilities will include but are not limited to the development, coordination and management if passenger health programs across the flying operation as well as management of internal processes within the aeromedical centre.

You will provide a single point of contact for specialist advice to the business around passenger fitness to fly, aviation first aid, medical movement cases and on board medical events and equipment. Additionally support the broader functions of the Aeromedical centre including the pre-employment screening process.

Operational:
- Developing and managing a streamlined process for clearance of Passenger Medical Clearances (MEDIF) and coordination with all stakeholders.
- Management of complex medical movement cases-Stretchers/ assistance cases by liaison with all stakeholders.
- Provision of expert advice around on board first aid and process for on board medical events.
- Develop and manage the Emergency Medical Kit program for the group to ensure industry best practice
- Mentor and train nursing staff assigned to the Aeromedical centre in Passenger heal processes to ensure continuity of service.
- Manage a streamlined process for screening of pre-employment medical questionnaires for flying crew to allow rapid assessment and timely feedback to the business.
- Support the VP Aero medical centre and Aeromedical Centre doctors/acting as delegate from time to time in certain forums as required by the business.
- Build and maintain relations with internal and external stakeholders in these processes.

Management & Leadership:
- Lead and manage the nurses assigned to the Aeromedical centre operations and administration staff assigned to MEDIF operations and Pre-employment screening.
- Manage the protocols and liaison with our Ground Based Medical Support service provider in lines with our specific business needs.
- Exercise decision making and action appropriately and accordingly to all administrative related work applications, work situations whenever/wherever necessary.
- Manage all aspects of the support system and communicate effectively with other medical services team members planning and providing nursing service.
