Mechanical Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical systems, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Install, assemble, and test mechanical systems and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and assistance to other team members.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety training and meetings.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure that repaired equipment meets operational and safety standards.
- Calibrate and align machinery and equipment as necessary.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a mechanical technician or in a similar role.
- Experience with industrial machinery and equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
