JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

JOB OBJECTIVE

- To develop the operational strategy and plan to achieve the vision for Thales in Middle-East, including the outcomes and workforce issues at a strategic & tactical level
- To manage the aspects of operations & delivery of all projects in Qatar
- To ensure that all the decisions, directions & actions made are aligned with Middle-East strategy, values & guiding principles.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate local Operation functions for Qatar
- To be a relay of all Operation functions based in Dubai toward Projects and Departments in Qatar
- To provide support to Projects in term of process, tools, staffing etc., in close relationship with Middle East Operations
- To make sure that actions decided will be closed on time
- To coordinate implementation of major actions such as but not limited to:
- Logistic and supply chain for Projects
- Implementation of PMV for IFRS15
- Set-up of the Customer Support Center
- IT
- Digital activities (Design thinking, Innovation)
- Industrial partnerships if any
- Participation to the bid process with a strong focus on local parts & costs
- In cooperation with the Key Account Managers and Business Development Managers, investigate potential strategic partnerships with local Companies
- Participation to all Project reviews and coordinate actions with Middle East Operations
- Leads the development of new initiatives across functions and teams, including developing implementation plans, building capability for delivery and evaluating outcomes
- Acts as a role model in ethical behavior and business practices and ensures that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the organization.
- Drives performance development across portfolio. Provides clear feedback to team members in a manner that is consistent with organizational values and conducive to maintaining and improving performance. Counsels and/or disciplines staff as appropriate
- Supports recruitment, retention and recognition activities. Provides mentoring opportunities and supports succession planning in assigned portfolio.

- Leadership skills to manage the coordination activities with the other Thales entities and within the Bid Engineering & projects departments.
- Well organized and rigorous
- Autonomous and Proactive
- Ability to work under tight constraints
- Experience of delivering continuous improvement initiatives
- Very open and teamwork oriented

QUALIFICATION

- Master's Degree in Business Administration from a reputed university
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Engineering with experience in Project Management or Operations Management
