JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose: Provide management oversight of the planning and design of MEP Services for buildings, structures, and infrastructure with special focus on plumbing. Monitor the design and supervision by the consultants / contractor to ensure quality design, construction and installation, and delivery to schedule.

Responsibilities and Major Activities:
- Conduct design reviews for conformance with contract documents and client requirements.
- Participate in value engineering activities to ensure delivery of maximum value of MEP engineering/services.
- Attend and participate in client and QPM meetings/workshop for all design related activities in alignment with QPM MEP services agreement.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of all MEP activities and operations.
- Advise and monitor onsite engineers for MEP engineering as required.
- Work with the line manager to resolve MEP escalations from project sites.
- Serve as the centralized resource for all matters related to Mechanical services quality and provide feedback as required.
- Monitoring and supervise consultant activities for conformance with the provisions of the Contract Documents and the Procedures manual.
- Achieve a detailed understanding of the Contract documents (drawings and specifications), coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, structural and advise design managers as necessary.
- Provide inputs during design proposal preparation and client presentations
- Assist in development of RFPs/Tenders by QPM as part of the procurement process
- Interface with client in relation to QPM's Mechanical engineering activities
- Coordinate with QA and HSE teams to ensure compliance of MEP engineering design with all Quality and HSE requirements
- Collaborate with other construction MEP engineering disciplines to enhance QPM's overall solution.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
- Minimum 15 years relevant post qualification experience
- Member of a recognized institution or organization ( CIBSE, ASHRAE, CIOB)
- Minimum 10 years in similar role.
