JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Objectives:
Perform all aspects of policies and procedures development and administration including development of new policies, process re-engineering, as well as, policy manual updates across the company, ensuring alignment with the corporate HR policies and regional practices and in line with defined business objectives.

Main responsibilities:
- Review the external market and existing policies and recommend revisions when there are required changes to ensure our policies and procedures remain relevant.
- Develop new HR policies and procedures in conjunction with the process owner.
- Conduct appropriate research, studies and surveys in support of policy development and highlight key findings to support policy improvement initiatives.
- Review procedures to ensure they remain current / viable and revises where required.
- Maintain policy manuals for all the company locations within Qatar and distribute new and revised policies & procedures, leveraging best practice to ensure a consistent, professional process.
- Review potential policies in order to ensure they do not conflict with the labor law or government regulations and directives in Qatar.
- Provide clear interpretation of policies to HR Business Partners and HR Officers so they can in turn communicate to line managers and employees.
- Update the Employee Handbooks in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain good relations with counterparts at other oil & gas companies and exchanges information of mutual interest.
- Act as the company's policies and procedures expert providing advice and guidance to line and senior managers on policies and procedure development and amendments.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Business Management OR HR Management OR related discipline
- 5 years relevant experience in developing policies and procedures including at least 3 years in positions of progressively increasing supervisory responsibilities.

Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws of Qatar and regional best practices. Excellent PC skills, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of industry best practices.
