JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
The Communication/Public Relations Officer will form an integral part of the project team, supporting the delivery of written and visual media, the provision of public information, community and stakeholder engagement and other social responsibility activities.
Creation and management of beneficial stakeholder relationships with local VIPs, businesses and residents, including proactive management and mitigation of potential issues and reactive response to customer complaints and feedback
Development of effective and practical communications plans, strategy and campaigns to promote the project amongst domestic and international audiences.
Coordination, capture and quality control of visual documentation of the project.
Source and draft traditional and social media content dynamically and periodically.
Co-ordination with internal departments to provide timely public notice announcements (such as road closures, openings and traffic diversions).
Attend and lead internal and external meetings with stakeholders regarding all external communications issues (including weekly project operations meetings, critical risk and issues meetings).
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree in a Communications, Journalism or Public Relations or related field from an internationally recognized accredited university with minimum 5 years experience in a similar role working on supporting communications activities.
Proven experience and results in managing diverse stakeholders, especially in a Middle Eastern context.
Proven experience and results in managing creative, including photographers and videographers.
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Exceptional command of English language and grammar.
A keen interest in media relations, internal communications, community relations and corporate social responsibility.
