JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
CLIENT
Linum Consult’s client is an international engineering company currently seeking a QA Manager from a client-side or PMC background (not main contractor) background to develop and implement their company-wide Quality Assurance policies and procedures, based in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparing, implementing, and monitoring the company’s quality plan in accordance with client requirements, to ensure the delivery of a quality project
• Applying quality systems and tools to validated and verify contractually required standards for project execution
• Leading and managing a QA/QC team to successfully deliver the project to the required quality standards
• Communicating the quality plan and its objectives to staff, consultants, and contractors
• Supporting all consultants and contractors in the implementation of Quality plans and procedures and monitoring their performance on all Quality matters
• Developing and implementing audit schedules and plans, including unannounced visits
• Developing statistical reports on Quality performance
• Identifying and communicating lessons learned through the project life cycle
• Managing the project quality control testing service
• Coordinating and managing any third-party audits as required
REQUIREMENTS
PROFILE
• 12 years of experience in quality assurance for highways or infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or similar, with a QA qualification and IRCA Lead Assessor ISO 9001 certificate
• Extensive experience working for end-clients or PMCs
• Demonstrable background in the implementation and compliance to ISO 9001, 14001, and 18001
• Previous history of working in the Middle East
• Fluency in English, with good interpersonal and communication skills
