JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

• Conduct Quality Control Inspection activities following QMS standards/procedures.
• Generate Inspection requests and coordinate with QSA for inspections.
• Monitor and promptly report any issues and delays to the supervisor.
• Conduct continual in-process inspections to minimize or eliminate rework.
• Assist the supervisor in preparing Inspection and Test procedures for assigned projects.
• Accept, reject, or suggest actions in case of failures on jobs.
• Act as a facilitator for the department's drive for continual improvement.
• Coordinate NDT activities at the site and assist in producing NDT reports.
• Generate inspection reports as per requirements.
• Conduct Quality walkthroughs and quality campaigns within the section.
• Raise hazard report regularly as per Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions policy.
• Contributes ideas for improvement to the employee suggestion scheme
• Employee should prioritize wellbeing of themselves and their colleagues while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Adhere to all health & safety protocols, participate in wellbeing & wellness programs, and promptly report any concerns regarding the wellbeing of oneself & others in order to foster a culture of best practice.
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed

Requirements:

• ITI or Trade Apprenticeship.
• NDT and Quality related certifications will be an added advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience as Quality Controller (Steel works) in Shipyard with ship repair/ ship building experience.
• Candidates of higher secondary qualifications and with minimum 3 years of experience as Production Quality controller in Shipyard also can be considered for the role.
