JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The Quantity Surveyor shall provide support to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, monitors on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations for assigned projects, and monitors risks/problems and helps develop options to resolve.

Provide assistance to the team during negotiations, arbitration or any other forms of dispute resolution.

Responsible to support the reviews, preparation, and assessment of cost estimates and invoices provided by consultants and contractors.

When necessary, performs cost estimates and BOQs as an independent check. Assists in preparation of the monthly cost reports.

Demonstrate skills to implement methods for dispute avoidance and resolution study.

Must have ability to utilize computer technology to analyze data, maintain records, analyze financial data and generate reports.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Quantity Surveying from an accredited internationally recognized institution or university. Minimum 10 years experience in dealing with major highway construction projects. Experience in claims / arbitration procedures and methods are a requirement.

Experience in the planning of major projects with particular emphasis on the utilization of computer programs such as Primavera or equally capable program for the planning and tracking of similar projects is a requirement. Computer literacy and excellent communication skills are essential.
