Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented reservation agent to join our team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our reservation department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by managing bookings and providing exceptional service.

  • Handle all reservations through various channels, including phone, fax, internet, and email
  • Optimize room sales in line with the hotel's sales policy and brand standards
  • Provide a warm welcome and assist guests with their inquiries and requests
  • Manage the reservation process, following brand-specific procedures
  • Enter reservation details accurately and efficiently into the system
  • Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Confirm reservations and handle written communications professionally
  • Stay up-to-date with hotel promotions, packages, and special offers
  • Assist in maximizing room occupancy and revenue
  • Resolve guest concerns and issues promptly and professionally

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a reservation agent or in a similar customer service role
  • Strong knowledge of reservation systems, preferably Opera or similar platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Guest-focused personality with a commitment to providing exceptional service
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in hospitality management is a plus
