JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
A high-end restaurant located in Doha, Qatar, renowned for its fine dining experience and exceptional service offering a unique blend of French and Arabic cuisine is seeking a polished, professional Hostess to join their prestigious team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a welcoming demeanor, and the ability to manage guest reservations and seating arrangements. As a Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a memorable first impression in a luxurious and refined dining environment. A Russian-speaking ability is required for this role to cater for our diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their designated tables, ensuring a seamless dining experience from the moment they walk in.
• Manage reservations and coordinate guest seating efficiently, maximizing the flow of the restaurant while maintaining a high level of service.
• Answer phones, respond to guest inquiries, and take reservations, ensuring all requests are handled professionally.
• Provide information about the restaurant’s menu, special offers, and services to guests.
• Maintain an organized and clean host station and dining area.
• Assist with managing wait lists during peak times and ensure guests are comfortable while they wait.
• Collaborate with the waitstaff and management team to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with tact and professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Monitor the restaurant's ambiance and atmosphere, ensuring it aligns with the restaurant's high standards.
• Assist with various tasks as needed to support the overall operations of the restaurant.
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Hospitality or Diploma• Fluency in Russian is a must; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Previous experience in a hostess or front-of-house role in a fine dining or luxury restaurant is preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and grooming in line with the high standards of the restaurant.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Russian and English (additional languages are an advantage).
• A positive, friendly attitude with a passion for providing an outstanding guest experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate guest needs.
