JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
The SCADA Foreman is responsible to inspect SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and related Instrument Control and Automation systems and components as required in order to ensure equipment is operational at all times and is in compliance with safe operating practices and adherence to DNOM requirements.
Operational Responsibilities
- Carry out site visits and undertake preventative and corrective maintenance of SCADA Master Station Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) panels as instructed by the Senior Operations Engineer
- Monitor status of SCADA communication equipment at the Stations and highlight and rectify any problems found
- Coordinate with ISD and Ashghal’s chosen service provider in order to install new telephone lines.
- Carry out loop checks and trouble shoot PLC and RTU panels
- Identify PLC and RTU spare parts and materials required to assist the Senior Operations Engineer to prepare orders for replacement annually and as required
- Liaise and coordinate with the PLC and RTU maintenance contractor and inspect new stations and test and commission newly installed PLC and RTU Panels
- Prepare and provide weekly and monthly maintenance reports on work carried out
- Assure all work performed is in compliance with specified standards and quality control policies and that it is recorded on the Service Request Form
- Attend Emergency Breakdowns and take appropriate action as instructed/required
- Supervises the performance of maintenance contractors to ensure adherence to defined SLAs
- Maintains records and files and prepares a variety of periodic and special reports and correspondence.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma- Up to 8 years of cumulative experience in a relevant field (Diploma)
- Up to 12 years of cumulative experience in a relevant field (Secondary Degree)
