Overview

We are seeking a senior civil/structural engineer with offshore experience to join a multidisciplinary project team. The role focuses on providing high-quality technical design and engineering services for offshore projects, from concept through detailed design and commissioning. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the oil and gas industry, proven project delivery skills, and experience leading engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical design and engineering services in civil and structural offshore engineering for assigned projects
  • Ensure technical quality of work while considering schedule, cost, HSE, and project objectives
  • Conduct in-house site surveys and engineering activities from concept definition through FEED, detailed design, and commissioning
  • Apply relevant engineering standards and codes for civil and structural offshore design
  • Incorporate technical assurance, environmental, and safety policies into engineering deliverables
  • Review technical deviations and variations from approved guidelines, standards, and codes
  • Support updates and application of internal engineering standards and amendments to external standards
  • Plan and coordinate activities of multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure timely technical deliverables
  • Develop and review multi-disciplinary work scopes, ensuring clarity and comprehensiveness
  • Review and approve method statements from contractors and liaise to resolve technical issues
  • Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities; contribute to external project scheduling and delivery
  • Evaluate technical bid packages for compliance with project scope and requirements
  • Review and assess contract changes or variations to approved practices
  • Support technical competency development of team members, including structured training for junior engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Chartered or professional engineer status preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 6 years in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of civil/structural offshore engineering standards and codes
  • Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality across multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, including presentation proficiency
  • Experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams
