Senior Director of Operations (Rail) – Qatar

Linum Consult’s client is major consultancy operating in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a customer-focused Senior Director of Operations with an extensive background in Rail Operations & Maintenance to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Developing, directing, and controlling the strategy for customer services and operations of the company
• Directing and coordinating efficient functioning of the Service Delivery Division in accordance with the company’s strategic objectives and programme schedules by managing the Operation & Maintenance, Transport Planning, Customer Services, and Rail Safety & Regulation departments
• Developing and designing the future operating model and standard operating policies and procedures
• Developing and implementing best practices surrounding operations and maintenance issues reflecting the specific environment in Qatar and the aspirations for the railway
• Monitoring and auditing compliance with the operation and maintenance guidance/regulations
• Establishing appropriate standards of service for customers (timeliness, frequency, ease of buying tickets, cleanliness, temperature, etc.)
• Establishing and coordinating the customer and operational objectives, policies and programmes within the context of the company’s overall objectives, and where appropriate, setting quotas and targets
• Ensuring a coordinated development of timetables to make multi-modal journeys by customers easy to plan and execute
• Working in conjunction with the Technical Services Department to ensure the coordination of rail and operating systems to offer easy journeys for customers
