• Ensuring high quality planning and designing of Electrical Services for buildings, structures, and infrastructure for a wide variety of project across multiple locations to support QPMs vision of becoming a world class company.
• Work with line manager to establish high quality electrical services practices, methodologies, guidelines, procedures and detailing for ensuring effective design and implementation.
• Develop working templates for establishing client requirements, conducting site studies and provide support for contractor/consultants and sub consultants.
• Develop guidelines for value engineering for projects to help onsite teams to deliver high quality Electrical solutions ensuring regulatory and HSE compliance with standards.
• Ensure appropriate usage and application of the Project Management System with respect to entry and analysis of work related data to facilitate seamless communication of all relevant (technical/non-technical) information across the organization on a real time basis for maximum effectiveness.
• Synergize with the project commissioning team to ensure that all projects are meticulously commissioned to deliver world class standards of quality to QPM clients
• Conduct design reviews for conformance with contract documents and client requirements.
• Participate in value engineering activities to ensure delivery of maximum value of electrical engineering/services.
• Attend and participate in client and QPM meetings/workshop for all design related activities in alignment with QPM electrical services agreement.
• Implement standardized methodologies and procedures to ensure consistent and high quality “QPM work experience” to consultants, contractors and clients across sites.
• Develop and maintain corporate knowledge base for all electrical engineering and provide support to projects accordingly.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of all Electrical activities and operations.
• Advise and monitor onsite engineers for Electrical engineering as required.
• Work with the line manager to resolve electrical escalations from project sites.
• Serve as the centralized resource for all matters related to electrical services quality and provide feedback as required.
• Monitoring and supervise consultant activities for conformance with the provisions of the Contract Documents and the Procedures manual.
• Achieve a detailed understanding of the Contract documents (drawings and specifications), coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, structural and advise design managers as necessary.
• Work with IT team to put in place effective IT systems for carrying out various documentation, MIS, project monitoring and management activities.
• Support business development by providing inputs during design proposal preparation and client presentations
• Assist in development of RFPs/Tenders by QPM as part of the procurement process
• Interface with clients in relation to QPM’s Electrical engineering activities
• Coordinate with QA and HSE teams to ensure compliance of electrical engineering design with all Quality and HSE requirements
• Collaborate with other construction electrical engineering disciplines to enhance QPM’s overall solution.
• Establish and develop professional relationships with peer professionals in the industry to track industry practices and innovation.
• Meet clients to obtain feedback on QPM’s engineering methodologies and outcomes and use the same to make appropriate modifications.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, methodologies, tools and best practices in electrical services at corporate level.
• Adopt and adapt good practices from the industry into QPM to ensure continuous rejuvenation and upgrades to QPM’s engineering capabilities.
