Sr Mechanical Engineer (Piping)

Airswift is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer (Piping) to work in Qatar with a major oil & gas company.

Requirements

• Have minimum 15 years relevant post graduate experience in oil & gas industry, of which 10 years should be related to piping discipline engineering.
• Must be an expert or specialist in design and engineering of piping layout, stress analysis, and materials. Mixed experience in static and piping is not desirable.
• Have worked in at least 2 major greenfield EPIC (engineering, procurement, installation & commissioning) and brownfield projects for offshore oil & gas central processing platform (CPP) and gas compression facilities.
• Have PMT / PMC experience and able to manage EPIC contractors and vendors in discipline related activities for large-scale projects.
• Have experience in working with Shell DEPs and MESC.
• Able to review and approve technical deliverables with respect to quality, safety to the required standards and compliance to scope of work.
• Able to make recommendations for approval or rejection of technical deviations or change requests with respect to approved guidelines, codes, and standards.
• Able to resolve technical challenges related to piping discipline and liaise with other relevant disciplines and external stakeholders.
• Proficient and having experience in GRP piping system and design for offshore facilities and able to apply good engineering practices and design as per Shell DEP and ISO 14692.
• Experienced in conducting evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
