Senior Piping Engineer

Job description

Engineering company based in Qatar looking for senior piping engineer.

12 months secondment contract.
5 days on / 2 days off / 8-10 hours per day.

Requirements and responsibilities:

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited university.

Function as a senior point of contact for single or multiple projects, fully responsible for all piping discipline activities and deliverables for the project(s). Independently guide and supervise one or more piping engineers or designers in the execution of the work.

Minimum 10-15 years relevant experience in FEED / detailed engineering of greenfield / brownfield engineering to oil and gas or similar facilities which must include offshore.

Out of 10 years, shall also have minimum 5 years of experience in detailed design engineering of brownfield modifications to oil and gas offshore.

Minimum 5 years of stress analysis experience in CAESAR II software.

Minimum 5 years' experience as senior discipline engineer.

Must possess a thorough knowledge of industry practices, tools, codes and QatarEnergy / Shell DEP standards as applicable to the discipline.

Prepare engineered calculations, drawings and documents including preparation of isometrics, general and piping arrangement drawings, support drawings and all kinds of piping documents within a 2D / 3D data model environment.

Review and check relevant deliverables such as design calculations, drawings, specifications, schedules and MTOs prepared by engineers and designers to ensure technical correctness, quality, and compliance to project objectives.

Prepare, check, and approve procurement related documents including material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, recommendations and vendor drawing reviews.

Site construction and commissioning experience is an advantage.
