JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Overview
QatarEnergy is seeking a highly experienced senior process engineer to lead technical input and design optimization for major greenfield and brownfield gas development projects. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of domestic and international gas facilities, ensuring robust, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Lead feasibility and conceptual studies for surface facilities.
Review and validate engineering deliverables across project phases.
Conduct lifecycle techno-economic evaluations.
Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
Experience
Minimum 10 years in oil & gas, with 5+ years in project development.
Strong knowledge of process simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS, Pipesim).
Proven experience in large-scale upstream developments.
Familiarity with international standards and dynamic flow assurance.
Experience with offshore gas compression or onshore LNG, NGL, gas treatment projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering.
