Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Project Engineer - Hydraulics , to join our award-winning team based in Qatar.

This critical role will be responsible for providing key technical expertise and input at different stages of multiple projects to ensure the highest technical quality of delivery within the transportation discipline.

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include;

- Planning, design and modelling of infrastructure projects
- Delivering different modelling assignments, apply engineering principles to improve the water resources and provide a systems' approach to hydrologist, flood engineers, water scientists, numerical modelers and environmental and planning specialists to provide an integrated sustainable and cost-effective solutions;
- Assisting in all aspects of hydraulic/hydrological modelling.
- Preparing and reviewing design hydraulic models for the different hydraulic networks.
- Ensuring all calculations are prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Authority Standards.
- Preparing and reviewing of hydraulic models, technical reports, design drawings, and others.
- Coordinating and technically guiding CAD Drafters to produce drawings.
- Coordinating with other disciplines to achieve a fully integrated design.
- Holding good knowledge of hydraulic networks and design principles.
- Having analytical skills, good attention to detail and proficient with various computer programs.

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envisage that you will bring a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering along with 15 years of industry work experience.
A Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on drainage and hydraulics is preferable

Membership of professional institution is highly preferred.

Essential software skills:

- Proficiency in hydraulic pipelines modeling software, such as InfoWorks Sd and Ws, EpaNEt, HecRas, MIKE, TUFLOW, etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
