JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking a chartered Senior Quantity Surveyor specialising in post-contract administration to be involved on a significant highway construction project in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performing aspects of contracts administration on a set of infrastructure development projects
• Interfacing with all teams to meet the overall programme deliverables
• Drafting contractual correspondence including: monitoring & processing variation orders, final accounts for consultants and contractors, drafting and maintaining periodic commercial and contractual reports, and drafting weekly and monthly reports
• Reporting on the performance of the consultants and contractors from a contract administration perspective
FINANCIAL PACKAGE
Our client is willing to pay an excellent expat package for this opportunity, including accommodation, transport, health insurance and flights home.
REQUIREMENTS
• A history of working for large consultancies or PMCs on large construction projects, ideally on highways or infrastructure projects, but those with significant building construction experience will also be considered
• At least a Bachelor’s degree qualification in Quantity Surveying from an accredited Western university, as well as a chartered qualification with a recognised international professional organisation such as RICS
• At least 10 years’ experience of Quantity Surveying, with excellent technical knowledge of post-contract administration
• A background of working in the Middle East would be preferred
• Excellent written communication skills
