JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior System Administrator to oversee, optimize, and secure the organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in system administration, cloud and hybrid environments, automation, and cybersecurity best practices.
System Maintenance & Monitoring
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, enterprise software, and core IT applications.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and optimize resource utilization.
• Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain system stability and security compliance.
User & Identity Management
• Create and manage user accounts, access rights, and identity policies.
• Administer permissions and security settings across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Provide prompt technical support for account and access-related concerns.
Network Administration
• Configure and maintain wired and wireless network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, and access points).
• Monitor and optimize network performance while troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Implement network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust models.
Data Protection & Backup
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and data retention procedures.
• Conduct periodic backup tests and ensure readiness for business continuity.
• Manage rapid response and recovery during data loss or system incidents.
Security & Compliance Management
• Enforce IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and access protocols.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and security audits.
• Investigate, report, and resolve security incidents effectively.
Server & Cloud Infrastructure
• Manage physical servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and mail/web servers.
• Ensure system scalability, redundancy, and uptime through proactive monitoring.
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident logs.
• Generate reports on system performance, compliance, and resource utilization.
• Track and manage IT assets, software licenses, and resource allocations.
Collaboration & Support
• Work closely with project and operations teams, particularly within fit-out and commercial project environments.
• Support infrastructure and project setups across multiple client sites.
• Provide user training, guidance, and ongoing IT support.
Licensing, Subscriptions & Renewals
• Manage renewals of software, email hosting, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
• Track subscriptions and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.
• Optimize IT costs through effective license and vendor management.
Requirements:
The role requires a proactive, hands-on professional who ensures the high availability, reliability, and performance of critical systems, while supporting end-users with professionalism and efficiency. The Senior System Administrator will play a key role in infrastructure management, digital transformation, and overall IT operations, particularly within fit-out, engineering, or commercial project environments.Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, VMware, AWS/Azure) are advantageous.
Experience
• Minimum 4–5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or Project Engineer.
• Previous experience supporting fit-out companies or commercial projects preferred.
• Proven ability to manage hybrid infrastructures and secure enterprise environments.
Technical Skills
• Proficient in Windows/Linux server environments, virtualization, Active Directory, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of automation/scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, or Terraform).
• Familiar with cybersecurity principles, zero-trust frameworks, backup solutions, and monitoring tools.
Soft Skills
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Strong coordination and collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.

Salary:
QAR
5,000 to 8,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
