JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client is an independent, international organisation specialising in developing sustainable solutions and strategies that propel global business transformation. They are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Tax Manager to lead the corporate tax function for a prominent business consultancy firm. The successful candidate will oversee the timely and accurate preparation, review, and filing of all corporate tax returns. They will develop tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position, provide guidance on the tax implications of business decisions, and stay updated with changes in tax laws. Additionally, the Senior Tax Manager will lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, manage tax audits, and identify potential tax risks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and filing of all corporate tax returns, including federal, state, and local tax filings.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
• Minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits.
• Analyze tax implications of business decisions and provide guidance to management.
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings.
• Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance on their implications for the company.
• Identify potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Coordinate responses, gather required documentation, and represent the company in discussions with tax authorities.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals.
• Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:• Minimum of 4-8 years post-qualification experience.
• Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CFA.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity.
• Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
