Charterhouse is working with an International Oil & Gas, risk-assessment consultancy which specialises in Risk, Safety, Environment and Reliability Studies of Upstream, Midstream and Downstream O&G production. Other key sectors our client is involved in is Renewable Energy, Transportation and Nuclear. Reporting directly to the Principal Engineer, you will be supporting and leading multiple projects across all risk-assessment departments. You will be leading a variety of studies, safe cases and reporting requirements, such as HAZID, HAZOP, bowtie studies, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. You will be a natural leader who is eager to develop and nurture the skill-set of their surrounding junior technical colleagues.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hungry, Mid / Senior level Engineer who has a demonstrable track-record and is looking to enter a Management / Senior level position, with an internationally recognised Oil and Gas consultancy.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will be a confident and motivated Safety Technical Engineer / Consultant, with a minimum of 6 years professional experience, within an Oil & Gas risk-assessment / HSE consultancy. You will have a bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering or science field, with an active membership or Chartered status. You must have lead a small team of engineers (min of 4) through various stages of O&G Risk-Assessment projects, specifically in the HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, Safety Cases, RAM, areas. Essentially, you will be fluent in English, both written and verbal and be able to demonstrate a high-level of presentation, analytical and reporting skills.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, confident Technical Safety Engineer who has demonstrable Oil and Gas risk-assessment consultancy experience, who can manage small-mid-sized teams effectively, and comfortably manage face-to-face client interactions.
