Purpose

You will provide water engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the civil engineering team.

Responsibilities
- Ensures team member adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
- Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful.
- Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence.
- Supports checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
- Technical supervision of project designated designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duty.
- Preparation /checking of Specifications, data sheets.
- Performance of bid evaluation and vendor document review and approval
- Compute civil engineering design computations;
- Develop water distribution system computer models;
- Develop sanitary collection systems computer models;
- Develop storm water conveyance systems computer models;
- Supports Lead Engineer in monitoring quality activities, drives and participates in squad checking, recommends improvements, and takes action where required.
- Assist Project Team in project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules
- Incorporates information from multiple sources into equipment/material specifications, data sheets, testing requirements, and material requisitions.
- Reviews similar documentation to assist others and reviews/authorizes work done by direct reports.
- Seeks input from knowledgeable sources, participates in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews, and ensures that requirements are incorporated into engineering/design.
- Works with site personnel to resolve issues.
- Create plans or documents that supports construction, testing, commissioning, operations, maintenance, or decommissioning.
- Review and approve projects modifications as-built documents.
- Leads on-site support for construction, commissioning, or turn over.

Quality Assurance
- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.

Safety
- Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures
- Promoting health, safety and environmental awareness.


REQUIREMENTS

Technical and Industry Experience

- Minimum 12 years' experience in the related discipline
- 8 years Oil and Gas Industry experience in green-field and brown-field project
- Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management and its associated requirements in a project environment
- Specialized expertise of the regulations, codes and standards and a good understanding of practices applicable to engineering design for utilities & infrastructure industry projects.
- Specialized expertise of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of discipline design/engineering with wide experience in multi-discipline areas.
- Expertise in the design of storm water and sewerage collection networks in the ME region.
- Good experience of pressurized distribution networks design (potable water, fire water, irrigation water) systems.
- Must be expert of InfoWorks ICM design software used by the PWA (Ashghal) during approval process.
- Competent in the design of wastewater collection networks using suitable supporting design software.
- Candidates will be familiar with WaterGEMS, InfoWorks WS and similar design software.
Education, Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
- Full-Time Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage
