JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Description
A B.Sc /B.Tech. degree holder in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. Minimum 5 years design experience in a medium to large engineering/ contracting firm is essential.
Strong proficiency in the use of structural software such as ACAD and STAAD Pro, as well as spreadsheet applications where structural calculations can be made is essential. Design reports/drawings, shop drawings, bar bending schedules, and steel fabrication drawings experience is also required. Having a solid understanding of British and US standards is also a must.

Requirements:
1. Performs a variety of structural design functions and preparing plans and specifications.2. Prepare preliminary structural engineering design.
3. Design, review of steel and concrete structures using BS, Euro and American codes.
4. Evaluates proposed changes to approved plans and specifications.
5. Prepares a variety of reports and correspondences as per assigned engineering projects.
6. Provide engineering support to other divisions.
7. Review construction progress and a variety of field-testing duties.
