JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Job Purpose
Perform a variety of technical duties in support of Technical Services Group that includes maintenance, retrieval, manipulation, and presentation of technical data. Prepare activity reports, presentation materials as directed and maintains data bases, office files and records.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
• Perform variety of standard and specialized technical activity includes data gathering, validation, inputting and retrieving/presenting of data as required by the department to produce tabulations, plots, histograms, drawings, presentation materials and summary reports.
• Assists Section Heads and Engineers in the use of various sophisticated computer programs/packages and manipulating data according to established procedures and programs to obtain easily understandable, high-quality results.
• This may include digitizing information, reprinting films, producing presentation materials, drafting charts and drawings as required to produce departmental studies and reports.
• Provides full technical support in the use of PC based programs such as Microsoft Word, spreadsheets (Excel), database (Access) and other technical application software. Reads and, where necessary, verifies technical data such as production data, well pressure charts, well test data and process simulation output.
• Maintains various computer data bases involving weekly and monthly oil/gas/water/GOR production, well test data and process summary data.
• Periodically updates, maintains, and ensures smooth working of a variety of data from these periodic surveys such as well pressure and productivity, which form an imperative part of production and facilities management. Includes plotted reporting of monthly, quarterly, and overall yearly statistics and performance.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
• Provides technical assistance to the department involving various technical aspects. Assists in collection of routine field information and special test data.
• Contributes to editing and compilation of the Department’s monthly and other periodic management reports. Provides technical support to the Department in the preparation of various presentations involving production of viewgraphs and handouts and arranging presentation aids. Undertakes other similar and related tasks as directed by the respective Manager.
Requirements:
Qualifications• Secondary school (12 years) formal education.
• Knowledge and/or Experience 5 years’ experience in a technical assistance in appropriate Engineering activities with experience in personal computer and statistical applications in relevant data gathering / processing / presentation activities.
• Proficiency in the use of various computer packages such as Microsoft Word, Access, Database, Outlook, Excel, and Windows is imperative.
• Ability to maintain accuracy in work is an important requirement.
