JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client is a leading service provider to oil & gas industry in the state of Qatar, the company’s fully equipped modern workshop produces repairs and manufacture components to meet stringent quality assurance standards. Their facilities include Machine Shop, Welding & Fabrication Shop, Electrical Shop and Mechanical Shop. They are seeking to recruit highly qualified Tendering & Commercial Manager to join their team.
Reporting to the company general manager, the incumbent will be fully responsible for all Commercial Department matters as a standalone business unit. The job holder will be fully responsible for:
- As identified lead the tendering process, preparing all documentation, liaise with legal, insurance, third party suppliers, finance, estimation and all commercial matters in order to create a technical and commercial bid in-line with client expectation for submission.
- Prepare the annual department budget
- Enquiry and quotation management
- Purchase order intake for business using resources available
- Processing of all tenders providing decision support for all clients’ contracts and agreement.
- Responsible for materials, logistics, yard management and drives the associated staff
- Offer support to sales team in order the achieve sales’ target
- Establish liaison between operations and full commercial / financial matters
- Ensure that all inquiries are evaluated properly and an adequate response is given to the client.
- Maintain record of all contracts, agreements and any other legal commitments, monitor their expiry date and take the required action accordingly.
- Visit sites as required
- Obtain third party / suppliers prices in order to build up the required quotations , generate quotations accordingly
- Liaise with purchasing / planning in order to ensure on-time delivery
- Guide sales team on quotation pricing
- Confirm purchase orders (PO), validate it against their quotations
- Evaluate / inquire about quotations’ pending on regular basis
- Review credit levels for each customer and report the same to the management
- Assist credit control on follow up on credits
- Ensure the materials store at each site has appropriate levels of stock to service internal customer requirements.

REQUIREMENTS
- Should have bachelor degree in Commerce or Engineering
- Should have at least 15 years of work experience, out of which 5 years should be and similar capacity / managerial level in Commercial Dept., in oil & gas multinational firm
- Having MBA, CA, ICWA are a certain plus and desirable.
- Computer literate, Oracle ERP
- Should demonstrate technical, commercial and professional expertise to do the job effectively.
- Possess excellent team-work and problem solving
- Possess excellent people skills and leadership
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
- Possess excellent clients’ relationship and clients’ management
- Should be quality and task oriented with focus on small details and accuracy.
- Attention to health & safety as per standard regulations.
