Umbillical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Umbilical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Qatar. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of umbilical systems for oil and gas projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative technology in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the successful delivery of subsea projects. The Umbilical Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integrity and functionality of umbilical systems, while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze umbilical systems for subsea applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to define umbilical requirements and develop technical specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments related to umbilical design and installation.
- Oversee the manufacturing and testing of umbilicals, ensuring product quality and adherence to project timelines.
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of umbilical systems on-site.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to umbilical designs, specifications, and testing procedures.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of umbilical components and materials.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to umbilical engineering.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Subsea, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in umbilical engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of umbilical design, manufacturing processes, and installation techniques.
- Experience with subsea systems and offshore project environments is highly desirable.
- Proficient in relevant engineering software and tools for design and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to oil and gas operations.
- Willingness to travel to offshore locations and project sites as required.
