Urban Planning Specialist - Qatar
Our client, a management consulting firm is seeking an Urban Planning Specialist to support the company’s Qatar practice.
The Urban Planning Specialist will be required to engage with the Urban Planning team on a wide variety of urban and regional planning exercises including land use planning, socio-economic analysis, infrastructure and environmental planning, housing policy and development initiatives, stakeholder participation and institutional capacity building. You will support the company’s consulting business by providing knowledge and leadership in the preparation of proposals and execution of projects in the urban development sector.
Responsibilities:
- Recommend approval, denial or conditional approval of proposals.
- Determine the effects of regulatory limitations on projects.
- Assess the feasibility of proposals and identify necessary changes.
- Create, prepare, or requisition graphic and narrative reports on land use data, including land area maps overlaid with geographic variables such as population density.
- Engage in team work in both field and office situation
- Identify potential markets for urban planning consulting services, and developing and executing marketing plans
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for an ARABIC SPEAKING consultant (3 to 7 years of REGIONAL experience) with an open and enthusiastic personality.
Candidates should:
- Belong from a Government sector/ Public sector background
- Have previous experience in management strategy consulting
- A Minimum of Bachelors’ degree
- Track record in successful implementation of bringing change improvement at client or company
- Strong intellectual & analytical skills, ability to work in a team environment
- Possess tremendous drive, energy, positivity, ability to work autonomously and as a team player, and ability to be highly analytical and financially savvy.
- Must have excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
- Up to 100% travel opportunity.
