JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Job description
- Analyze and interpret data from air quality monitoring and observation
- Conduct research on air pollutant emissions and the types of pollutants in different areas
- Develop air quality management plans and policies
- Prepare technical reports, documents, and presentations on air quality
- Ensure compliance with air quality regulations and standards
- Cooperate with environmental scientists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, engineers, and other specialists
- Evaluate the effectiveness of air quality management plans and make necessary revisions
- Advise government officials, businesses, or other groups on air quality issues, including regulatory compliance
- Recommend solutions to reduce air pollution, such as changes in technology, processes, or materials
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of air monitoring equipment
- Collect and analyze air samples for quality control
- Prepare air quality reports based on findings
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal air quality standards
- Provide recommendations for improving air quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for air quality control strategies
- Conduct air quality training for staff members

- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in field conditions (outdoor stations, industrial sites)
- Strong communication skills for technical reporting
- Team player with good organizational and time management abilities
- Very good command of English
Technical skills
- Proficiency in the use of air quality monitoring software and technology
- Familiarity with state and environmental regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and report-writing abilities
- Experience using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for data analysis
- Technical certification in air quality monitoring or instrumentation
- Knowledge of air pollutants and their impact on health and the environment
- Strong attention to detail and precision in data collection
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
