Assistant Operator - Packaging Production

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Assistant Operators might use simple tools (or simple technique) in order to perform a simple repetitive inspection job such as dimension, noticeable visual defects for not making any non-sense quality issue (wrong item, wrong quantity, etc.). Assistant operators also use simple packaging equipment (or simple technique) in order to perform a simple repetitive packaging job (counting a part and pack it) usually at the end of the process by manual (no equipment). They also have to follow corporate safety and quality guidelines as an operator.

Major Duties and Responsibility

Production and Quality(85% of Time Allocation)
• Use inspection tools to ensure the end product is without problems according to a product quality standard.
• Use simple packaging equipment to pack a processed product according to process standard.
• Work under the guidance of Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
• Record required documents for quality control by data (number of defective)
• Report any abnormality or important information in a process to a shift leader or a supervisor
• Implement 5S activities to ensure clean and efficient shop floor.

EHS(5% of Time Allocation)
• Comply with Local EHS regulations and corporate EHS policy
• Engage in EHS improvement activities to promote a safe workplace.
• Report EHS issues (including personal health condition) immediately to a supervisor.
• Take an initial response and propagation of emergency situation.
• Complete a safety training course complying with local EHS regulations.

Lean Six Sigma(5% of Time Allocation)
• Participate in Tier 1 meeting.
• Participate in a suggestion program.
• Participate in kaizen event or problem-solving activities.

Production Equipment (5% of Time Allocation)
• Trouble shooting or Report under equipment breakdown or trouble.
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of production procedures
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Basic analytical skills
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Physical stamina and strength
