JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

• Required to join a construction company in Saudi Arabia.
• The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities
• Develop an audit plan detailing the scope, objectives, and methodology of the audit for each department.
• Coordinate with department heads to schedule audit activities and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Identify and assess risks specific to each department's operations, processes, and internal controls.
• Determine the materiality of risks and their potential impact on the company's financial statements and operations.
• Conduct fieldwork in each department based on the audit plan. Gather evidence through interviews, observations, document reviews.
• Test the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions and records.
• Prepare audit findings and recommendations for each department audited.
• Communicate audit results to department heads, management, and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain independence and objectivity in conducting audits.
• Adhere to ethical principles and professional standards governing the auditing profession.
• Preferably worked with one of the Big 5.

REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in Finance / Accounting
• 10 + years experience of working as an Auditor
• Experience working with one of the Big 5
• Exposure to the construction, engineering or real estate sector would be desirable
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Should have experience in the Gulf region
