JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Base24 Application Development and Migration :
• Design, develop, test, migrate and maintain Base24 applications for transaction processing (ATM, POS, and card systems).
• Integrate Base24 with external financial systems, payment gateways, and backend services.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
• Provide technical support for Base24 applications in production environments.
• Identify, debug, and resolve issues related to financial transaction systems (e.g., ATM failures, transaction errors).
• Perform performance tuning and optimizations for Base24 systems.
• Alert to be configured with severity (critical , warning , info).
System Configuration and Integration:
• Configure Base24 components according to the required transaction flow, including setting up switches, message routing, and processing systems.
• Integrate Base24 with external services such as fraud detection systems, transaction monitoring, and reporting systems.
Database and System Maintenance:
• Ensure the proper maintenance of databases associated with Base24 applications (e.g., transaction logs, account databases).
• Work closely with DBA teams to ensure smooth integration with database systems (Oracle, DB2).
Implementation of Message Protocols:
• Implement and maintain message standards such as ISO 8583, ISO 20022, or proprietary financial messaging protocols.
• Ensure the correct processing of financial transactions and the secure transmission of payment information.
Documentation:
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides.
• Provide clear documentation for code changes, releases, and patches.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure the accuracy and reliability of Base24 applications.
• Work with Quality Assurance teams to verify that the application performs to specifications.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
• Work with product owners, business analysts, and other developers to define system requirements and application features.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to deploy Base24 systems and ensure high availability.
Security Compliance:
• Implement security best practices in the Base24 application development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
• Continuously monitor the performance of Base24 systems and optimize where necessary to handle large-scale transaction volumes efficiently.
Requirements:
• At least 4-5 years of hands-on experience with Base24- EPS development.-total experience in card payment domain 12 years+ developer .• Experience in transaction processing systems (ATM, POS, etc.)
• Experience in Visa /MC /paragon simulator .
• Proficient in C/C++ and Shell Scripting.
• Experience in working with ISO 8583 message formats and financial messaging protocols.
• Solid understanding of databases like Oracle, DB2, or SQL.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with payment networks (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) and transaction authorization protocols.
• Knowledge of Base24-specific tools like Base24 IDE, Tandem, or HP NonStop servers.
• Previous experience in a banking or financial institution is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Worked on mada transactions .
