Job Description
- Greet all arriving guests and offer a detailed orientation of their rooms and its facilities.
- Co-ordinate with room service, all food and beverage items served in rooms and subsequent removal of used items.
- Co-ordinate the servicing of guest rooms and assist Housekeeping in the cleaning and servicing of all rooms to required standard, check that rooms are serviced to standard.
- Maintain the guest's personal items, clothing and wardrobes in a clean, neat fashion throughout their stay.
- Collect, process, check, deliver all guests' valet requirements, perform simple pressing of guest clothing as necessary.
- Unpack and pack guest's luggage as required by guest request.
- Ensure Butler's pantry is in a clean orderly manner at all times.
- Maintain stock and charge in suite bars.
- Assist guests with room and local information; make bookings and reservations as required by guest.
- Assist as required in the following areas: restaurant, reception, luggage services, back of house cleaning and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a butler or in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry.
- Proven supervisory experience in managing a team of service professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and other departments.
- Strong leadership abilities and a talent for mentoring and developing staff.
- Proficiency in household management software and MS Office suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Superior time management and multitasking abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of etiquette, protocol, and luxury service standards.
- Familiarity with Middle Eastern customs and etiquette is highly advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- Professional butler certification is a plus.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times.
